She may just be someone who likes to have her quiet time and to just be able to take a break from being social from time to time.

I wouldn't take it to heart, though I know sometimes it's difficult not to have hurt feelings; especially when you don't know how to take it. I do hope she was polite in saying it, and not rude. {{{hugs}}}

She told me she needed space! so i told her i won't send her any more comments or messages for a while..and she can talk to me when she is ready or whatever...this just really pisses me off becuz iam guessing iam the only person she told me this too..

Sometimes when people are online, they are doing work, and can't talk. Maybe she is doing her school work, and her online status shows her online because she is.

I have my best friends on my IM list and we are on at the same time a lot, and if we don't say hi to each other, or whatever, we don't get mad. It's just because they are doing their thing, and I am doing mine.

Try not to take it too personal.

All I can say is she's gotta be busy. Just because someone is online doesn't mean they have time to devote to a IM conversation. That's why I don't IM much and I only email my friends, as I am busy doing personal things.

But it could just as easily be that she isn't up to talking with *anyone* and it's nothing personal against you at all. When something like this comes up, if it's a friend, it's helpful to give them the benefit of the doubt, and think the best of them. It can save a lot of heartache and misunderstanding when we try not to imagine the worst. (And that's not easy sometimes!!)

I can only talk quoting my own experience there.

Since my job is writing and making research, I'm a lot of time by night before the PC screen. But I'm working. I'm going to different Forums, searching info, etc. And I do not have too much time to devote myself to msn messages or chat. I just don't have time to it. And sometimes, I get tired because my job and don't want to speak to anyone on the net. So, maybe your friend is working hard, or is just tired and really needs a little time for herslef. Don't feel bad, nor believe she isn't your friend. Let her alone for a while, and when she will be more relaxed she will return to you all by herself.
