My daughter just found out she made first chair (flute) in the Toledo Junior Youth Orchestra. She (and I) are very excited about it. She also made first chair in concert band at the high school.

Applause CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I can relate to that Lori....my oldest son was always first chair.....started on trumpet and then French Horn. Other kids could challenge them if they didn't feel they deserved it......they never did with him, they KNEW they couldn't compete!!! :haha:

Congrats, Lori! I love people who choices music as a career. My brother plays the fiddle and the hornpipe (Scottish and Galician ones), and his wife, the flute. I also loves to sing and my mother plays guitar. We are not the Von Trapp family, but just wait a little... grinsmiley :sing:

Sincerily, I must congrats you and your daughter. I hope the best of the careers to her. 📷 :headphone:

Congrats to your daughter, Lori! My son is in band...I know what a big deal that is to get first chair! His band is huge...214 students. How big is your daughter's high school band?

Wow, that's really great, Lori. She must devote a lot of time to practice. Good for her!
