Oh my word, Carol! What an incredibly sad story. I can't imagine any adult acting like that toward a child. Sick people . . . .

I know. Blue
Some people seem to think that just because they are in the cyber world, they can say whatever they like to a person. They forget the person has feelings and that some people get really affected.

This woman knew the girl had problems with depression and to do something like that to her... she KNEW it would hurt her!

Really, I think that the prosecutor is mistaken. There *are* charges that could be found to file against the woman. Not murder, of course - but other charges would certainly apply.

What is really sickening, too, is that even though that young girl's family chose not to sue in a civil suit (unbelievable!) the family who helped to bring about this young girl's death actually pressed charges against the girl's Dad over some property damages or something like that. What gall!! They have some nerve!

That makes me furious to think that people will play on other peoples emotions like that. Especially from adults, and adults who know of the emotional problems this girl suffered from. Laws most definitely need to be changed to fit today's society.

This story is absolutely sickening. How could anyone be so heartless as to hurt another child? To knowingly do something that would cause her pain, encourage her own daughter to be involved...it's evil.

I'm very angry. I feel a great pity for children who are living nowadays . Sick adult people are playing with their innocent minds and this is not acceptable at all. As Pam said, laws must be changed to fit our sick, sick times. mad

Hum...Carol...if this woman said that, it is clear that she supposed that the girl could attempt suicide as a result of their bad "joke". It's a little like a murder. It is clair that doing this, she KNEW what the girl could have done.

It's sad to say it, but evidently, they killed her. No

Vanesa.

Her parents were on the Today Show this morning. The mother said that the mother who did this has never expressed any kind of remorse.

I tell you... some parents are unbeliavable...
I remember in L.A., during my 6th grade... there was a fight between two girls from the school.... all the kids went to this neighborhood away from the school to see the fight... and guess who was right in the front row? One of the girl's mom was right there cheering and coaching her daughter! Five girls and me were close to the fight also making sure that if one of the girls friend started getting in the fight, we would also get in to help our friend to keep the numbers even... It was so crazy...

These are the adults? Ugh..Tell me who is the child! I have the impression that some adults are not ready to be parents. When I was little (not so long ago! grinsmiley ), parents wouldn't allow their children to fight with anyone, even if right was on their side. A little as in "Country Girls", when Laura pushed Nellie to the ground and Ma got angry for this. mad

Vanesa.

She better have remorse on her judgement day, or she will suffer at the hands of the devil for all eternity.mad mad

Every time I think of this story, I want to cry.

Carol, I posted about this in a thread I made today, as I just saw it on my local news. I didn't realize you posted it here, as I didn't read this thread.

It is a real shame.
