You know.......the other day, I had asked for prayers for safety in travel, because the weather was bad and I was heading out on the road. Well - maybe I should have asked TODAY!

I was the passenger today.......and the man who was driving never even looked, and pulled out in front of an oncoming (very FAST oncoming!!) vehicle! affraid

We could not possibly have come any closer to being t-boned! The other vehicle's driver was so close, I could have handed him a tissue as we crossed paths!

I almost dread heading back out again this evening! :Hahaha:

The other day I was driving down the road when a car that was parallel-parked suddenly pulled out in front of me. The driver never even turned to look. There was a stop sign just ahead, and the guy didn't signal his turn... and didn't bother stopping either. I thought it was pretty amazing that he committed three infractions in the space of about 50 feet! affraid

Wow, Savannah, I'm glad you're ok! It's drivers like that that make me panic-stricken to have a child out there driving now. So much depends on experience and how YOU handle that 'other driver', you know? Of course, I was hit by a drunk driver in '93 and know first hand that sometimes there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent an accident. My car was totalled, but I was thankfully wearing my seatbelt---they said without a doubt I would have been killed without it. Guess who is quite the seatbelt advocate now? Wink

Anyway, good to hear your 'driver' was able to avoid a possible accident!

What a close call! I'm glad that you were able to avoid an accident!

Amy, what an experience! I'm quite a seatbelt advocate, too. I was in a car accident, as a passenger, when I was a teen. That was enough for me.

Savannah, so glad to hear you're all right! What a scary moment. Driving makes me so nervous because you never know what other drivers will do.
