PostSubject: Now to train him to fetch   Wed Jan 30, 2008 8:43 pm

I've had to spend a lot of time resting the last couple of days - today was my first full day of work since the infection started! Well.....I was relaxing on my bed with my laptop, when Opie came in. He walked over, stepped on the remote (turning on the tv) and ran to the tv - pressing his nose on the screen. I turned the tv off, figuring he had just turned on the tv by accident. He ran back over to my bed, stepped on the remote - turning on the tv again - and ran back to the tv. I turned it off again. This time, he STOMPED over to the remote, gave me THE LOOK, turned on the tv, and ran back to the tv! :Hahaha: I think I've addicted him to tv! But I didn't know he knew how to turn it on!! Now if the remote goes missing, I'll know who to question!

What a funny story, Savannah. I think Opie just earned a new name: Opie the King of Remote! :Hahaha:

Frying pan

(I have him addicted to The Andy Griffith Show. LOL . . . I'm not sure if it's because it's in black & white, or what.........but he'll sit right there and watch it.)

That's adorable Savannah! Animals can be so clever.

It's cute - except now he's figured out that he can also turn the tv OFF. So if he wants my attention, he turns the tv off! I wouldn't mind so much, but it's always at the best part! :Hahaha: At least I watch dvds. I can just rewind.

Saw the thread title and figured you had a husband now. We learn fetch, but it takes a while before we get the hang of which kind of shoes it was you wanted.

Just never have us fetch undergarments. Aside from "tops" and "bottoms", they all look the same to us.

Maybe not, but it seems to be haunting me the past few weeks! Maybe I should make sure the bouqet isn't still in my house! :Hahaha:

And I didn't catch the bouqet. It landed in my lap while I was minding my own business, mister. batEyes

OMG, that is so funny! Just goes to show that dogs are such smart animals. At the hospital where I work they have this one dog that reads flash cards to sit and stuff like that, lol. A little entertainment for the kiddies. grinsmiley
