Maybe tomorrow...........

We'll get our new kitten. The kids and Tim are supposed to go to our local pet store, which has cat adoptions every Saturday, to pick out a kitten. I won't be able to go because I have to clean my parents house during the day, and then I have a surprise 40th birthday party to go to for a friend of mine. But it's more for the kids anyway. Another kitten obviously won't replace Padre, but it'll be nice to hear the pitter patter of little paws around the house again.

I'll post a pic if they pick one up.

You know, funny you should say that, one of my females just had a small litter. In my bed.

Leslie put 'em in a basket, but she didn't like it, so she moved them to the closet.

Danged cats. Leslie had to help move them. In the middle of her sleep cycle.

She wasn't happy.

Awwww. I remember when we had a cat that had a litter of kittens. Actually, Padre was one of the kittens. The mother ended up moving them from a box we had set up, to our bedroom closet. I don't know what it is about closets and kittens!

Thanks, Rhonda. I'm glad that they will have the opportunity to choose one. I think it'll be a neat experience for them to have a kitten, since they never had one before. Padre was already fullgrown when the kids were born. But there goes my furniture and drapes and everything else!

My cat had a litter of kittens last week, too. She had 4. THey are just starting to open there eyes.

Yes, we got one yesterday!! That's cool that your cat had kittens too, Farmer Girl.

He's a boy kitty, named Caeser. He came with his name from the animal rescue, and everyone liked it, so that's the name we kept.

He has such a sweet temperament. He is both playful and affectionate. He's very entertaining to watch. I could just sit and watch him play all day. He's very loved. Oh, and Kelsey wanted me to share that he farts a lot.

Thank you for letting us see him. Such a darwing widdle fewwa.......What a cutie-wootie....... I just HAD to say that. It was Mikey's phrase for Opie, and it definitely fits Caesar.

I know, he does look like he could be a relative of Padre. I was comparing that pic of Caeser to the pic of Padre in my avatar and thought the same thing.

That cat has me wrapped around its little paw already! He has all of us wrapped around his little paw, actually. And I keep telling Kelsey that I think he picked them.

Caeser is something else! He's been getting into all kinds of stuff. Our dishwasher isn't working, so the panels are off the dishwasher, so yesterday he tries to crawl into this very small space under the dishwasher, where all these cords are. Luckily, I caught him when he was only halfway in and was able to pull him back out. Otherwise, we would have had to pull the whole thing out and try to get to him. Needless to say, that little opening is now blocked off.

He also likes to help with the laundry. As I fold clothes, he likes to either attack the clothes as I am trying to fold them, or he'll attack my sleeve and my arm. He's a very helpful little guy. It took an hour to fold a load of clothes, lol.

This morning Kelsey was holding him and had to put him down to put something in her backpack, and I guess he didn't like being put down to much, because he climbed up her pant leg, digging his little claws into her leg the whole time.

Mostly he's a little sweetie. When he falls asleep, he is in a deep sleep. You can move him around and he doesn't even stir. He's real good about letting the kids hold him. He's a nice addition to our family.

Congrats Pam!!! That is so exciting!! He is such a sweetie....LOL, when I first looked at the picture, it looked like Caesar was floating above your daughter's head! Kelsey is a cutie too! I'm so happy for all of you!

The poor thing has an eye infection though already. And he has to wear a lampshade when we're not around to keep him from irritating it more, or transfering it to the other eye. Poor little thing.

Oh, the poor little fella!! I can't even IMAGINE trying to keep one of those on Opie! Even when he was little bitty!
