Sounds like this is a job for.......................Fearless Fife! :1053:

I was looking at the shopgoodwill.com site, to see if they had any good books, or interesting pencil sets. When I was doing a search for the pencils, it brought up a pencil sketch - and the title they'd given the auction was: LAMENTED PENCIL SKETCH OF JOHN WAYNE!

ROTFL I'm pretty sure that they meant laminated. But, I'm sure that John Wayne is still lamented by many fans, too.

Ha! Too funny! And by coincidence, today would have been John Wayne's 100th birthday.
OhMy

Once when I was a kid there was a vegetable stand outside of town, and it had a big sign advertising "SWEAT CORN." :gross:

:Hahaha: Maybe they were bragging about how much work it took to pick it all!

I didn't know that today is John Wayne's birthday! I'll have to watch one of his movies tonight. Thumbsup

:Hahaha: Yeah! "Oh, I wish I'd have done better.....This sketch is really bad!" I can relate. :Hahaha:

It really was quite nice. I'm not sure why they were lamenting it. Whistle

Oh wow!! That's pretty ironic!

Savannah---that's too cute! Hey--I didn't know there was 'goodwill' online! Wow, you learn something new every day! Wink Have you ever heard of "Freecycle.com"? My friend goes to that a lot. She got a brand new Kohler kitchen sink AND a piano from that site!! I have yet to sign up, but what you do is put in your area, and then they hook you up with those people selling in your area. If you're willing to drive to get the stuff, it's yours for free! Pretty neat.

Oops! ROTFL I've never heard of that site, either, but I'll have to check it out!

Yes! I've visited the local chapter's site, but not lately. My friend Patty just got a free electric motorbike from Freecycle........Or Craig's List. It was one of the two. I like the idea of passing things on to someone else, rather than just piling up the landfills with things that are still completely useful to someone.
