| On Saturday, John & April brought the children to the campground where my Mom, Dad, the children and I spent so many heavenly summers together, and we had a picnic, etc............Well.......In the afternoon, Caleb asked if we could go fishing. So my Dad, my SIL Krista, Rachel, Michael, Caleb and I all got our things together, and went fishing. Krista's little girl, Oliveah, caught a fish first........then Rachel did......then Michael did............Well, it was almost time for the children to have to leave, and Caleb STILL hadn't caught a fish. And you KNOW how important something like that is to a little fella, so I was REALLY hoping that he'd catch one. Well, he asked me to hold his pole for a second, and he ran over to Grandma, who had some water, and he got a drink. While he was there, Krista got a bite.........She quickly handed me her pole, and took Caleb's, so *I* was now holding the pole with the BITE.  She hollered "CALEB!! COME QUICK!" Caleb immediately started running, shouting "I'VE GOT A BITE! I'VE GOT A BITE!!!" He never noticed the switched poles, and reeled in his catch with great enthusiasm.
We got pictures of each of the children with their "big catches", too.
Caleb asked my Dad "Grandpa, can I keep him?" My Dad answered "I'm sorry, buddy.......But he's too little to eat."
Caleby's mouth dropped open, and his eyes grew huge, and he replied "Grandpa..........I wasn't gonna eat 'im! I wanna keep him for a pet!"   That's my boy. | |

| What a cute story. It makes me think of our family fishing trips. Way to go Rache. I'd like to have seen the look on Calebs face when Grandpa said that. :haha: |
