I think I'd pick John Wayne, too, if only because he's probably the most instantly recognizable.

I may be a bit prejudiced on the one and two spots as I prefer Barney over John. :b

This may be the first time that Don Knotts and John Wayne competed for the same role.

Well, I think it's pretty obvious which one I would pick.


But that's as 'my favorite'....Jane simply is not as recognizeable as John Wayne, and honestly I think John may be your very best portrait. So I'm with Rob. John is my pic for who you should enter in the contest.


(Jane Seymour will always be my favorite though).

Actually, I deleted that one. I wanted to re-size the photo.

Farmer Girl's post asking if I still sketch reminded me that I hadn't posted the drawing of my church yet. I was asked to do it for my church's 76th anniversary, and finished it up JUST in time. It was a very special day for us because just one year ago we didn't know if our doors would even be open for our next anniversary - so it was a really big deal for me to see us not only observing the day, but truly celebrating it with life and enthusiasm!

Our church is still older...I think.

Uh, oh! My church is from 1736...A little oldie, I think. But I DO love it. It's so cozy and so beatiful! I love when Sunday comes and I attend it.

Yes, it really was a tentative and trying year for you and your church family. This drawing really not only celebrates the fact that the church still stands tall, but it symbolizes your faith and persistence at hanging on through the storm, to get to the 'good stuff'. All of you who stayed to see that through can be so proud of that fact. Where is this going to hang? Right in the new and nicely painted foyer? Beautiful job Savannah! Everything you touch turns to gold.
