On Saturday, I went to see my precious niece and nephews. When I got there, of course, they noticed that I could barely whisper. Caleb asked me if I was sick, and I told him that I had been, but I'm doing better now. (A moment later, he started whispering, and told me "Oh my soul! I seem to have lost my voice, too!" Love

) Well, as I was getting ready to leave, he asked me to wait a minute, and he ran to his bedroom. When he came back, he was carrying his cherished little Curious George. The only time he and that little monkey part is when he goes to school. He came over, and put it in my hands and said "I want you to take George with you. He always makes me feel better, and I want you to be better soon." Love

He's always been very thoughtful, ever since he was quite little. Rachie was (is) the same way. Bless them. They're very tenderhearted. Not that Michael and Jeremiah are thoughtless, of course . . . They just tend to be so outgoing and boisterous that they have to take the time to slow down and think about others.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Caleb - I'm trying to take digital shots of some of my photos that were taken with my film camera. I'm still learning how to transfer them, so it isn't the best, but it captures what a happy little fella he always was.
