PostSubject: Prayers for our youngest daughter   Tue Nov 18, 2008 2:03 pm

We just got back from the Lil Princess's 5-year check up. She failed her hearing test, but I'm hoping it has something to do with the fact that she's still got a sniffle from her cold and that her ears might be blocked. I have to take her back on December 2nd to see if she fails the test again. If she does, then we have to go to a specialist for additional testing.

She constantly raises the volume on the TV and she speaks very loudly, but I don't know if that indicates any type of real problem. I have a loud voice, so I've always just assumed she was like me.

Your prayers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Cheryl

Wow diva...

My prayers are coming your way for the little princess. Lots of kids when they are younger seem to need tubes in their ears to help with their hearing and then they outgrow them. Maybe such is the case with your daughter?

It's not been a good year for you has it?

Thanks ladies. No, it hasn't been the best year Lorrie. The thought of returning to work after the first of the year is troublesome and I can't quite figure out how we will manage everything if it comes to that, but I feel fortunate that I've been able to stay home this long.

Thanks again for the prayers everyone!

i will be praying for your daughter. i know that around Christmas time of last year i was having trouble with that and i had to get tests done for my hearing. thankfully it just turned out that i was sick and my ears were clogged. i hope that everything turns out for the best!

I'll be praying for the Lil' Princess too, Cheryl. Wink I hope it's like you said, and just her cold affecting her hearing. I know I'm like that when I get a cold.

And I'm sorry to hear you're having to entertain thoughts of going back to work when you'd rather not. That stinks. :alright:

Thanks Amy. And yes, the pressure is on. We need money. The annual bonus that allowed me to stay home may not happen this year, so life might get a whole lot tighter around here soon.

We don't get an annual bonus, unfortunately, but I do know what you mean Cheryl---my hubby's overtime has been taken awhile for quite some time now and we've tended to rely on that every year, when we shouldn't have. When we decided to stay in our home and not move, we had planned on a kitchen remodel as well as other areas of the house. Now that will have to wait too...bills and food come first. :sad5:

Prayers for your little girl, Cheryl. I hope it was just the cold affecting her hearing - lots of things are affected by the sinuses, so maybe that is all it is. I'll be praying for her. {{hugs}} Let us know how the second test goes.

Thanks ladies. The prayers are appreciated. I'm trying not to worry too much, but now everytime she asks me to turn the TV up I wonder if there is something wrong.
