I don't know if any of you have seen on your local news about three
police officers that were gunned down in Pittsburgh. Anyway, on
Saturday morning I heard cop cars all morning. Little did I know what
was going on just a few neighborhoods away from me. Here is part of the story.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1623508/three_officers_killed_in_pittsburgh.html

Anyway, one of the police officers was named Paul Sciullo. He went to
my church. I knew he looked familiar. Not because he went to my church,
but because last year I was on the personals on yahoo and he was as
well. I sent him an interest and he sent one back. Nothing ever
happened though and I feel that God protected me. But as soon as I
realized who he was, my heart dropped. I am shaking right now and am in
a state of shock. I just can't believe it! It's all over our news and I can't even listen to it anymore. bawling

Please pray for their families to give them the strength they need to move on.

I saw that and I cried. The officer on his way home that heard the call and wanted to help, that really got me.

I will continue to pray for their families and fellow officers.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

Yes that is so messed up that Officer Kelly wasn't even on duty. He just went to help and lost his life. There have been several services all week and they are down at the county court house. Tomorrow there will be a memorial from down town to Oakland at the Petersen Events Center. Yesterday me and my mom rode by the funeral home where Paul Sciullo was being laid out. There was a line all the way around the block. I got tears in my eyes.

It's just awful when everytime you see a police officer for about a month after, they have on the black armbands and the black strip across their badge. That brings tears to my eyes, as well. I don't know if that is statewide or just in the county where it happened.

I've been depressed all week. When they took Paul Sciullo's body to the cemetery, they went up my street. I stood on the porch and broke down holding on to my mother. My neighbors were good friends with him and my cousin's bowled with his mother. His mother was saying how children are a gift and that her gift was taken away. bawling
