| Did anyone watch? What did you guys think? Well, it went VERY late (midnight!!) but personally I LOVED it! It felt like "Old Hollywood" to me, which was really cool, and so intimate and 'warm', rather than cold and formal and 'out of touch'. Hugh Jackman did a phenomenal job (thank God because the past few year's hosts have been pretty bad), and the entertainment was wonderful! And notice, the reason it went SO long was because they didn't cut into anyone's speeches with the music!! Even in the end they didn't cut into them, and I'm sure they wanted to, LOL! I love how they acknowledged all the acting nominees---it was so personal and such a tribute, as opposed to just showing a clip of their movie role. You could tell the actors were all deeply touched! I was exhausted by the end, but thoroughly entertained! | |

| It was great! Yeah Amy, it did have that 'old hollywood' feel to it. It was very nice I was excited for Kate Winslet! Anne Hathaway has grown so much in her career... I started watching her since her Princess Diaries movies... and love her voice! That girl can sing! :sing: | |

| SO happy that Kate won---LOL, I actually got weepy! Just love her---loved her speech too! And yes, Anne's voice is amAzing, isn't it?! She's a natural! The director of Slumdog Millionaire (gotta see that movie now!) said, as he accepted his award, "I don't know how this show looks on television, but it's bloody wonderful here in this room!", and the audience cheered. It was really cool...you could tell they'd created something special. Any dresses you hated, ladies? Any you loved? I loved Kate's! | |
