Well, my B's disappointed me again, so I guess I have to root for the Wings. Sorry Pen fans, but ever since Ulf took out Cam Neely's knee and forced him into early retirement, the Pen's have been on my naughty list. I guess it's a good thing I'm not Santa. :xmastree:

I don't know either team but know that Beckie & Emily are fans of the player in the Pens. Who won?

Interesting that Detroit and Pittsburgh are meeting in two consecutive Finals.
Remember, they are the only two teams to lose a 3-0 series lead in the Stanley
Cup Playoffs (1942 and 1975).

The sports reporter last night sounded like he was going to cry when he said that they'd be showing highlights in just a few minutes.

LOL!! Really??? I missed that! Gosh, these guys sure do take it seriously! Laughing

My friend gave me a copy of the "State News" newspaper yesterday, and Abdekalder's picture is on the front...the front headline said, "I'm just proud to be a Spartan." Oooooh, I love that!!! :CoolSign:

Yes they are. Congratulations. Quite an exciting way to end the season,
and Detroit is one of my favorite teams to LOSE the Stanley Cup Finals.

Yep, I'm happy for all the Penns fans out there....they deserved it! Clearly they wanted it more. At least they played like it! Wink

It was a sad night for we Michiganders though----we really needed that win, to generate money for the state, and boost spirits during this all-time low. It's a bummer the Wings didn't play the whole game like the did in the last 5 minutes. :sad5:

In the other Detroit-Pittsburgh matchup last night, the Tigers beat the Pirates. Being more of a baseball fan than a hockey fan, I was happy with that trade-off. Thumbsup

I kinda stopped paying attention back in the '90s. As a fan, you can only get beaten down for so long. No

It IS tough being a Lions fan, isn't it?! You try to be loyal, (and hopeful, LOL) but it's a tough job. Whistle

I think the Pirates are the worst team though in baseball right now though. They have been so pathetic over the years losing most of their games.

Pirates had been the last team to win a World Series, NBA Finals, or Stanley Cup Finals Game 7 on the road, until last Friday night.
