Sesame Street turns 40 this week, and to celebrate, Google is using some of the famous muppets on their site. Below are a couple of them.....TOO CUTE! I saw a guy wearing a shirt the other day that had the Sesame Street characters on it, and it said, "I Was Raised on the Street!" I thought that was so cute!!!

OMG! My sister and I used to sing that song to each other all the time. I was the guy. (Okay Rob, another one on a silver platter for you.) My weekdays:
Sesame Street Electric Company Mister Rogers Zoom
Not sure if the order is right, but that was my line up.

*Sigh* Rainbow Connection!
Ah, my Kermy. I adore that frog...always have, always will.
Well, don't laugh, but that song brings tears to my eyes. The Muppet Movie was the first movie I ever saw...I was 10 years old. And that song really affected me in the theater and I sang it ALL the time....we even have me 'tape recorded' (LOL, remember those?!) singing it with Kermit! Um, it's pretty darn bad, especially at the part where Kermit goes really high at the one part before the key change, "We know that it's probably maaaaaaagiiiiic". Painful, I tell ya! Eventually my voice improved though, and I lowered the key and sang this as a lullaby to my babies.
But is there anything cuter than my man Kermy playing guitar?!?!
Thanks for posting that Rob...brought back some fond (albeit painful ) memories.

Why are there so many Songs about rainbows And what's on the other side Rainbow's are visions They're only illusions And rainbows have nothing to hide So we've been told and some chose to Believe it But I know they're wrong wait and see
Someday we'll find it The Rainbow Connection The lovers, the dreamers and me
Who said that every wish Would be heard and answered When wished on the morning star Somebody thought of that And someone believed it And look what it's done so far What's so amazing That keeps us star gazing What so we think we might see
Someday we'll find it That Rainbow Connection The lovers the dreamers and me
Have you been half asleep And have you heard voices I've heard them calling my name Are these the sweet sounds that called The young sailors I think they're one and the same I've heard it too many times to ignore it There's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it The Rainbow Connection The lovers, the dreamers and me La Lala La Lala La La La Lala La La La
