Headaches

Hi everyone!

I've been absent on here a while and right when I thought I was getting back, I got sick. I had gotten the swine flu in August, but quickly got over it and I was fine.

During that time though, I had begun experiencing severe headaches, and since the flu they hadn't gone away. So finally we went to the doctor, and he attempted to prescribe me medication to help with them. They continued on about a month and eventually I was admitted into the hospital for tests. They ran some blood tests and a CT and all came back clear, thank goodness. With the headaches still continuing, (I haven't been in for almost two months), I was then sent to a neurologist and since then have had a MRI ran (which was just ran last week). This Thursday we went back and saw the results. The doctor then told me I have "Arnold-Chiari Malformation" (I had to google it to understand it fully), which can (hopefully) be treated (the pain at least) with medication, and if not, then surgery.

I am going back in January and hopefully by then the medication will be helping the pain and surgery won't be necessary. I hope to be doing better and back in school by January or February, once we have went back to the doctor.

So, please pray that the meds will work in reducing the pain/taking the pain away so surgery won't be necessary.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers, it means the world to me! And I will Amy, as of right now, the medication is giving me some relief, so hopefully by January, it will have done its job.

Thanks Gin, I deeply appreciate your prayers! And Susie, today I'm feeling better, I got out and helped my cousin with her wedding prep, so I was glad to get out! It really varies from day to day, today was better! Thanks for the prayers and thoughts again everyone! The power of prayer is truely amazing!
