A dear, sweet elderly friend of mine is having surgery today. He lost his lower left leg to diabetes two years ago, and is now having to have at least part of his right foot amputated. Possibly the whole foot. He's 88 years old, and such a gentle soul. Please pray that his recovery from this surgery will be as easy on him as possible. His name is Charles.

I will be praying for Charles, Savannah. I know that it takes diabetics longer to heal than everyone else, hopefully things will go well for him.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

Prayers for Charles.......We also have a gentleman that has had to undergo amputation because of diabetes.....I am a firm believer of the diabetes slogan they started a few years back...."Give diabetes an inch and it'll take a foot."

My thoughts and prayers are with, Charles.

He doesn't always answer in the way that we want, but in a way He thinks is best for each of us.

Thank you, everyone. They couldn't do the surgery yesterday after all, because his sodium levels were too low. They're planning on doing the surgery on Saturday now, if they can get his levels to where it's safe enough to do so. Thank you so much for your prayers for him.
