PostSubject: Opie's dress rehearsal   Sat Dec 05, 2009 8:40 pm

I was trying to get some pictures of Opie in his Santa costume that I bought him last year. (Yes, I know how silly that is. And I don't care.) It fit him last year. This year, however, has apparently been a very healthy one for Opie, because I could barely get the belt to close around his tummy! He wasn't very enthused about the photo shoot, and kept tearing his clothes off the very second I'd let go of him. He wouldn't run off - he'd just quickly bite the costume off. I asked Rob to wrestle hold Opie for me while I take the pictures, but he's been strangely silent on the subject. ( Smart man.)

I had Opie all dressed and posed, and he looked so handsome! So I snapped the picture, and this is what I got:

It took him a split second! I think I'd better buy some goodies and try bribery.

That is the cutest picture ! Opie is adorable in whatever the pose.

(By the looks of it, I think you may need to buy a new Santa suit for next year )

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

such a cute picture, Savannah!

last year, my English teacher had her cat's photo taken with Santa Claus. Maybe Opie would agree with that more than being dressed up in his own Santa suit...

I'm sure Opie would be more than willing to share the suit with your dogs Amy....and probably wouldn't be the least bit upset if it got dirty, torn or lost.......

If I did that to Santa, I'm afraid that I'd end up on the naughty list! Opie is fascinated with beards.

Two against one doesn't sound like very favorable odds for you to get them into Santa suits!

Opie says that it's better to give than to receive.

I hope you don't mind, but my boys would like to show off their Santa suits as well. Don't you just love their expressions? LOL

Awww! How cute, Debbie!!

I think Opie is taking revenge tonight. He stomped across my Mom's laptop keyboard, and when he did, one of the keys popped off with his paw......We found the key, and I put down the bowl of spinach dip I was snacking on so I could try to put the key back on.....As I was working on it, I heard a funny little noise behind me.....I turned around, and there sat Santa Opie eating my spinach dip!! What a busy boy!

I love the pictures, Debbie. The expressions are priceless. The first one seems to say, "Can we get this over with already?" And the second one seems to say, "Yeah, I know I'm all that!" Laughing

This was as close to dressing up as Heidi would let us do this year. We got her in our family photo. She was fine with the bow around her neck but NOT above her ears.

She's beautiful Gin. My cat would tear off someone's arm if we tried dressing him up.
