A little help?

I dunno. "A child's day at the beach" comes to mind. Simple, but descriptive. But I'm sure there'll be better suggestions.

This may be silly, but I'm thinking about how he has the beach, a wagon and his thumb, and that makes me think "What more do I need?" Kind of an obscure title, but makes the viewer 'think' too. Just sharing what my first thought was.


And Savannah, it sure is amazing how far you've come in just two short years. You're an inspiration, truly....it makes me wonder what underlying talents I might have just waiting for me to discover.

I am so happy to hear you are entering this portrait into an art competition!! That's wonderful. Nothing is coming to me as far as a title at the moment (still haven't had coffee), but if something does, I'll be sure to post any ideas I have.

Thank you, Amy. And your title suggestion is cool! I've had a few emailed to me, too, and I'm *really* glad for the help. I'm no good at coming up with names.

Thanks! I was too chicken last year, but couldn't come up with a good excuse to not enter this year. It's going to be entered in ArtPrize in Grand Rapids. Entering is the easy part, though.....It won't be an official entry unless a venue agrees to host it during the competition for me. So I'm slightly (okay, more-than-slightly) nervous about that part.....But I still wanted to give it a shot.

It's normal to be nervous, but I honestly don't think you will have a problem finding a venue to host it for you. I'm sure you'll do well. Plus, you will gain something just from the whole experience.

Wow, there are so many good title possibilities to choose from. The Adventure Begins struck me because it looks like the little boy just arrived at the beach and there are so many possibilities of things you can do with the little wagon, the sand, and the water.

I also liked Amy's idea of "What More Do I Need?"

I used to do a lot of seashell collecting at the beach when I was a kid so when I look at the picture, I imagine a family who goes on vacation on the seaside every summer and they have a little adventurous boy who likes to take his little wagon and fill it up with seashells and other things he might find on the shore. People know them and when they see the little boy they say... There is 'The Little Beachcomber'

So did you go with The Little Beachcomber?

Isn't it funny that we need to name our drawings?? I know they probably wanted you to have it named, but I sometimes do just because its like the finishing touch besides your signature.
