PostSubject: Double rainbow   Sat Sep 14, 2013 11:01 am

A couple of days ago, we had a gorgeous, VIBRANT rainbow appear just outside my workplace. Seconds later, another rainbow began to form right next to it! SO, SO beautiful! It was much more visible in person, but all I had with me was my iPod Touch to snap a shot, so here it is:

And it was huuuuuuuuuuuuge in length. This one doesn't really have the second rainbow in it because I was trying to get the whole length of the rainbow in one shot - I still couldn't get it all!

This is a full circle rainbow never seen from the ground. It was taken by a helicopter last Tuesday just off the coast near Perth, Australia.

Lisa, you did a good job getting that shot. I know what you mean by the color not being so bright in the photo. Sometimes I think God keeps it that way so we will keep looking for them and at them.

Thanks, Gin!

Dave, that's a really beautiful shot. I've never seen a rainbow from that angle before!

beautiful photos, Lisa! I love seeing rainbows. I saw a double rainbow once in person, it was really neat to look at. To me rainbows are a treat to see because I don't see them that often.

Dave, that is a neat photo, too! I never thought of rainbows as being round, I always thought they were just arcs or half circles. How can there be a leprechaun at the end with his pot of gold if the rainbow is round grinsmiley still a neat photo though, it must be cool to see a rainbow from up above like that.

Stormy, rainy weather across the Tri-State area Monday into Tuesday brought about a magnificent sight this morning.
Double and even quadruple rainbows could be seen on Long Island as well as a rainbow arching over a NYPD Highway Patrol precinct.

Quadruple rainbow appears over Glen Cove on Apr. 21, 2015.
Amanda Curtis snapped a picture of the phenomenon as she was waiting for a train. Read Article Here
