Vacation Dates!

We've finally finalised our US vacation dates and I'm getiing SO excited now! We fly into New York on 8th August for 5 nights. Then it's off to San Francisco on Friday 13th!!!! Just as well we're not superstitious! We stay in San Francisco for 4 nights during which time I'm going to be meeting Karen, which will be the highlight of my trip! Then we hire a car and drive from San Francisco to Las Vegas and then on to Los Angeles, returning home on 29th August:-(

I can't wait for it to come but don't want it to be over either!!!

Wow Maureen, time sure does fly! I can't believe your visit is upon us already! Look out U.S., here comes Maureen!!

So exciting that you'll be meeting Karen Grassle too! Hope she's ready to pose for a photo shoot, LOL! Just tell her you have many people to please on your Little House board! After all, she wouldn't want to disappoint us!

Oh I'm certainly hoping for more than one photo with Karen, Amy. And I'll certainly be letting her know about the board.

Haven't told the children yet about the meeting with Karen. They're not aware of how important she is to me but the ARE big Little House fans so I hope they'll get almost as much joy out of the meeting as I will!

They can't wait to see all the sights in New York and because Ryan loves acting, he's looking forward to seeing the Hollywood sign and visiting some of the studios.

It's going to be here before you know it! I can tell you are very excited. It will be so nice for you to finally meet Karen in person. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Maureen, you will have a wonderful time with Karen. She is as beautiful in person as she was on LH. I had the pleasure of seeing her in Sept last year at the LHOP cast reunion. I got her autograph and showed her a pic of the china shepherdess that sat on the mantel on the show. She sighed and remembered it with love.
She wasn't feeling well enough to participate in the cast/fan picture time so I don't have a picture of myself with her, I do have a pic of Karen and my friend Beth Ingalls. It was a sweet moment and I'm glad that I snapped the pic.
Have a wonderful time my friend. I know that you will have a lot of fun. I enjoy visiting the States at least once a year. My trip to WI and then on to Laurapalooza in Mankate, MN starts on July 12 and I can't wait either.

Thank you so much, Marilyn. We're all looking forward to the trip but I guess I have more on a personal level to look forward to than the others. My 30+ year dream is about to be fulfilled in personally thanking Karen and I guess none of us would be making this trip if it weren't for her.

I'm so excited for you!! I just wish that mid-Michigan was closer to your destination! I'd love to get the chance to visit with you in person! If I suddenly become quite wealthy, I'll invite myself over to Ireland for tea.

I can't wait to see the pictures! I think I'm more excited for you than I would be for myself, even! Considering the tie that you have to Karen, this is huge!
