Thanks everyone. The rest of our family(in-laws, BIL, SIL, and nephew) will he heading home tomorrow, but we'll be here all next week. The first few days it rained, but it's been nice since then.

I haven't been around a lot lately because of end of the year stuff at school and my focus being on real estate, but wanted to let you all know we are leaving tonight for the Outer Banks. Staying at the same place, but we love it. See you in a couple of week. Coming home on my birthday this year.

Well, we made it through the rain. Hurricane Arthur blew through here last night. It was windy, rainy, and loud but all is well. Didn't even lose power--unlike at home where severe thunderstorms left thousands without power.

I thought about you when I heard that Hurricane Arthur was going to be hitting the Outer Banks. I'm glad that the storm didn't interrupt your vacation too much!

Hard to believe another year has passed and that we are getting ready to head down to the Outer Banks. It's been a tough year for our family, so I know it will be good for us to get away. I wish my in-laws could join us, but my father-in-law is still healing from his fall and surgery.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Work keeps me very busy and end of the school year stuff makes life crazy too. The girls are done with school on Monday. Hard to believe Kat is going to high school next year and Sarah to the middle school.

Dance recital is Saturday and then things start to slow down around here...except maybe my work, which is busier than ever.

I'll check in a few times before we leave and again once we get there.

More shark attacks around here. Nothing reported in our area, but it is definitely a lot slower around here this year with fewer people.

Thanks Rhonda and Rob. It's been a fun week so far. Managed to avoid sharks so far...though one was caught about two hours before we arrived at our beach a few days ago. That is frightening.

Fireworks on the beach last night and then fireworks tonight on the waterfront in Manteo. Driving home Friday night.
