That's what I was wondering. It's odd that the doe went to attack the dog when the cat was so close to her fawn.

Oh, that poor dog, just minding his own business and gets hurt like that. I wonder what would have happened if the woman had the dog on a leash. Do you think the doe would have gone after both of them?

Oh my gosh, I actually put my hands up to my face when I watched this and heard the owner screaming. OhMy That would be me. Talk about a helpless feeling. That poor dog!! But that is nature for you....can hardly blame that poor doe...she looks so stressed and confused. Good grief, how the heck did she get herself in that situation?!?! Deer are so dumb. Yikes

As for the doe protecting its' young, it's a given in nature that the mother will fight to the death if they have to in order to protect their own young ;-)

Right, I know I would! Wink Actually, it's a wonder the dog wasn't hurt more...she could have kept at it longer. I'm glad to hear he's ok!!

I just thought of Shadow when I saw what happened to the dog. I'd start screaming too! Blue
Good thing the dog is okay, although at the same time, we can't blame the Doe.... Doe, a deer... a female deer.... no, never mind... greenS

That's what a mom does, goes after anything she feels is a threat to her children.

Pam, are you referring to the little ant that was walking across your kitchen floor? LOL! Just kidding. Please don't "pan" me for that one.

Great, Teresa, make me admit that it was only a spider. Kelsey is very afraid of them, and I had no choice but to kill the last one that wandered across her bedroom ceiling. I actually prefer to do the catch and release thing. laugh3
