| I remember this. I was young, but it was one of the first "ER" shows. How much is it per season? |

| I used to watch this show after school. It was really good. I thought the dark haired dr was good looking, I forget his name. I loved the nurse Dixie Carter. I got a puppy and wanted to name her Dixie but my mom wouldn't let me so we called her Trixie instead. It was a show about a fire station who got called to different emergencies. The rescue squad went on most runs to help people. It was a good show. I think Cheryl is an Emergency fan. |

| My whole family is Emergency fans. If you can get by the fact that the special effects have a 1970's feel to them and the clothing is just awful, it's a fun show. It was the "ER" of its day, except that there is some light comedy mixed in. Chet, one of the firemen, is known for being a prankster. He and John Gage don't always see eye to eye on things, so it leads to some funny moments.
We own all the DVDs that have come out so far. The girls have their favorite episodes and we watch them often.
Some LHOP actors, Bonnie Bartlett is one that comes to mind, even guest starred on the series. |

| I loved that show as a kid! I haven't seen it in reruns lately, but I would love to see it again. I wanted to be a paramedic after watching that show. I would think it would be suitable young viewers. I don't remember there being any bad language in it, but if there was it probably wasn't anymore than what is in LH. |

Both my girls (9 and 6) watch it and have for at least 2 years. It isn't gory like today's medical shows. I think it was on at 8 or 9 PM when it aired back in the 70's. Some of the topics are heavy--drugs, suicide, etc--but there isn't personal dating drama amongst the staff like there is in the modern shows. John Gage is single and always looking for some girl, often seen dating one, but very tame by today's standards. You might see the girl on his arm or him flirting with a girl, but nothing more. |

| We watched this show when I was a kid. It was probably on at 7 p.m. if I was actually still up and allowed to be watching it. I don't remember anything "un-family-friendly" about it. Then again, I have to always warn people that my mom also had on soap operas all the time when I was a little one, so maybe I was corrupted already. Randolph Mantooth is Johnny Gage.
The show is probably the only show I ever have known to actually be primarily about paramedics! Very interesting choice of main characters, in my opinion, when it could have been about the firemen, the doctors, etc. They are more like secondary characters, if I remember right, and I think that the two paramedics are really the main characters. I mainly remember them calling "Rampart Hospital" (I think that's the name) on some kind of mobile telephone device....but of course by today's standards it is a monstrosity, I believe.

| I love this show now! Johnny is hilarious along with Chet. I try to catch it whenever I can.
Johnny and Roy are the main characters. I think they created this show because at the time paramedics were new. Yes it is Rampart hospital. That's a strange name for a hospital, lol. The acting and plots are really good! |
