Some of today's YMML spotting photos on our way back from our 2 1/2 week Tasmania holiday. Our Virgin Blue E190 flight back home to Adelaide was delayed by 1 1/2 hours, so you can guess what I did.

Remember that video of Barney when his gun went off? "Now I did that just so show what can happen when a person gets careless."

Oh, those tree ferns are similar to ostrich ferns:

Wonderful photos! I *love* the pic of the rainbow while you were in flight! (And I love Wayfaring Stranger. Beautiful arrangement of it.)

Thanks! The pic of the rainbow was taken from the Mt Wellington lookout. It was FREEZING up there that day.

Oh! It looked like it was from flight! It's just beautiful. Must've been cool to see a rainbow from that elevation. (No chilly-pun intended. )

Wonderful job as ever, Alex! I loved the articles you've posted above, since I didn't know nothing (or almost nothing) about Tasmania. Thumbsup

Great pics!

I have many friends in OZ. Fern Gulley, Brisbane, Sydney, many small towns. They elected me mayor of Coober Pedy. I wonder if it's because of their fondness of me, or the fact it's on the other side of the continent? grinsmiley

Those are wonderful pictures! And a beautiful video. What was that wooden walkway on? (About midway through the video.) It looked like it was along the edge of a huge rock formation/wall. It looked so cool! And is your sister Ruth taller than your Mom now, or was that just the angle of the photo? (My brothers and I all grew to be taller than my Mom by the time we were each around 13 or so.)
