| Now, I'll explain the pics posted above:
1- These are the Sierras Chicas of Calamuchita right before a great rain. You may really appreciate how rainy clouds are covering partially the mountains. I could see it from the second floor of the cabin we rented.
2-My mother and I at the Santa Rosa downtown, close to the ancient Church of the town. It was built in 1784.
3- Here, you can see the complex of cabins we lived in for ten days. There were six cabins with BBQ apparts, three swimming pools (One for children who didn't know how to swim, another for grown ups and a third one to yacuzzi massages and relax), plays for children and a place to go eat the BBQ (In Argentina we call it "asado")
Vanesa.

| More pics of my holidays: (Me and my little nephews, Alberto and Fernando, playing at the yacuzzi swimming pool) (Fernando, five years old, playing alone at the yacuzzi swimming pool) (Me mother and I close to the Santa Rosa creek, only two blocks away from the cabins) (My little nephew Alberto and Fernando, my mother and myself at our cabin door) (Me inside the grown up swiming pool ...I can't swim with my glasses on, so my eyes are semi-closed and the pic isn't that good! ) (Me at the upper veranda of our cabin) Hope you've liked them...But there are more to come on the next days! | Thanks for sharing....looks fun and your family is beautiful. Those boys look sneaky! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

Thanks for your opinion about my nephews, Miss Oleson! No; it wasn't exactly warm in Santa Rosa. There were warm moments at noon and three hours after noon. After it, there are very cold weather there...I must said I'm glad of it, since B.A, that is southern (In Argentina South means colder weather) is close to the most large river in the world (Rio de la Plata), and in summertime it brings a lot of heat...Damp heat, which I really hate. In winter we have lots of cold...Damp cold, which I also hate too! Santa Rosa de calamuchita has a somewhat dry weather and it makes it milder in summer. In winter, there is snow there. I just love this part of my country...and I just love snow. Vanesa. | |

| What lovely photos, Vanesa. It looks like you had a wonderful time.
I had to chuckle when you mentioned your eyes in the photo of you in the swimming pool. I know exactly what you mean. If you're used to wearing glasses, you tend to squint when you have photos taken without them. I still thought it came out well.

| Yes, Cheryl...When I takes my glasses off, I see things totally blurred and it's hard for me to fix my sight in something that is far enough, as a photo camera. But after a while without the glasses, the eyes get used to light and I can things see pretty decently! But I don't take them off too often, since I likes to see the world clearly! Vanesa. | |

| Some more good fotos of Santa Rosa: The place we rented for ten days. The landscape was just paradise in earth! My mother and myself. I was a little tortured by sun. I don't like too much sun cooking out my body! My mother and my father at Villa General Belgrano, that is only 8 kms away from Santa Rosa. Its population has German, Austrian and NOrth Italian roots. Santa Rosa landscape from a car bridge over Santa Rosa's creek. My brother and his children at the swimming pool. Vanesa. | |

| Whoops....not sure how I missed this thread before!! GREAT pictures Vanesa! Thank you so much for sharing them with us....by doing so, I feel like I've gotten to know you even better. You have a lovely family and your nephews are just darling. I am guessing that Fernando lives up to the 'redheaded spitfire' stereotype, am I right? Just something about that third picture of him makes me wonder! | |

| Hahaha...Oh, yes! Fernando is the typical "redhead spitfire". He is very spunky. His brother is more the "intellectual type". Just like Mary and Laura. You must always being watching over Fernando, for he rush over thinks. He is always plenty of scares and bruises, but never cries. Even when he hits himself or have some kind of accident. He admires his older brother and his father. My brother is really his idol. Vanesa. | |
