I have mixed feelings about this kind of thing. On the one hand, I find it fascinating. In theory. But once I start thinking about the instability of DNA - especially old DNA, even if it's been frozen - then I start thinking about the very real possibilities of severe defects and misery in the animals who are being formed in this way. No I kind of think I'd rather have the scientists put their intellect and creativity to work in ways that would truly benefit humanity.
