American Idol - Season 10

Oh, no! I thought he was performing tonight. I had just heard that he was going to be on for the finale. I assumed it would be tonight. I'll have to go watch it on youtube.

Okay, just watched it. He sounded great!! I love his voice!

Very tough call! Lauren did so well! I'll be happy for either one!

No matter who wins...those two NEED to record a song together....they sing well off each other and Idol has done great so far with the duets they have put them through.

Is everyone watching the finale? It's been good so far!


Wow, Scotty was SO good with Tim McGraw. One of my favorite songs ever. Tim McGraw's is one of the only country CD's I've ever bought!



Scotty has such a quiet confidence about him. He actually looked like a star standing up there with Tim. It's hard to believe that voice comes out of such a young man. Reminds me of David Archuletta---such a mature voice for such a young 'un!

I am also really happy with the winner. Both were great though. But there was something about the winner.

I haven't been this Happy about an American Idol Winner since Carrie Underwood First time ever i really like the Runner up as well it has been a good year for american idol

I think that was the best performance of the night too, Carol. I really liked seeing JLo and Marc together too. What I did NOT like was the Lady Gaga routine. LOL, I already know what you thought! I honestly like her voice---I think she is talented, but WHAT was that 'scene' toward the end of the song??? I mean, I felt like we were peering into someone's bedroom! I'm no prude, but good grief, there are children watching this, children in that audience! I know, spoken like a true mom, but that was uncalled for IMO.

The other thing that was uncalled for (IMO) was the montage depicting a bunch of Stephen Tyler's expletives. Really? Really???? It's bad enough he said them and they needed to be bleeped, but to make a montage about it? Good grief. The thing is, "knee-jerk reaction" kind of cursing is one thing, but there were many times with him where he could have stopped himself and he decided to curse, even the biggies. That just does not fly with me. Again, children watching, thank you!

I must say, I thought Lauren was excellent last night too. She has really stepped it up with these final few shows. And she could totally hold her own with Carrie Underwood last night...I was pleasantly surprised by that! She did a great job. But I think Scotty won the hearts of the tweens (as you said, Rob), and also for the true country fans....Lauren has that crossover sound and Scotty has that true country twang....I think many country fans were ready to see that happen on American Idol. And you know, Bucky Covington has done very well, and he had only made the top 5, or 4? Can't remember. Scotty should do well too.

As soon as I saw Lady Gaga... my finger hit the fast forward button (I was watching it on the DVD and was 10 minutes behind the actual time) so I don't know what the heck she sang lol

Lauren was on Jay Leno last night, as well as Piers Morgan (America's Got Talent) and she told him she got rejected twice by that show....Piers was speechless and just couldn't believe it...

Just read on IMDB that Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony have announced their split after 7 years of marriage. That was surprising, seeing how they appeared to be happy when he was on "Idol" this last season. Oh well, I guess you never can tell!

Yep..they call it the 7-year itch and a lot of marriages don't make it past that if they don't try....

Oh my, that is very sad. I hate to hear that especially when there are children involved. How old are their twins now?

Wow, he is just so 'real', you know? He is a natural singer as well as a natural performer. This is going to sound strange, but I like the whole premise of the video too....I was thinking it would be some kind of 'made up' romance between him and a 'pretend' girlfriend, but the whole video showed all kinds of relationships, including family. Love that!
