PostSubject: silent-partner is now Joe (new guy in town)   Mon Jan 24, 2011 12:10 am

Thanks to whomever facilitated my name change request.
I was welcomed into this forum with open arms almost two years ago.
Thinking that silent-partner wasn't personal enough, I decided to ask for something more fitting to this community, my real name.
Here, there is no rancor or political discussions that I see on other forums I frequent.
This place is like an oasis, a respite from hate and personal opinions that can tear people apart as a community.
Again, thanks,
Joe

Welcome again, Joe! I share your opinion about this Forum. It's really and oasis, and I can't have a single day without visiting LHOTP Message Board. The people I meet here is really great.

I couldn't agree with you more, Joe. I have been here for many years (when it's been 'under' other forums), and it has pretty much always been like this. Thumbsup I know exactly what you mean, about so many other forums having a more 'unpleasant' vibe.

Welcome to you, again! Smile

I know what you mean, Joe. This really is a special place. There are some truly wonderful people here, and I feel privileged to know them. (Just don't tell them that I said that. I'd hate to give anyone an ego problem. )Welcome again!

Absolutely - I have met so many wonderful people here over the years, and it's definitely a one-of-a-kind place where everyone truly gets along and respects each other.

I'm not sure if I ever officially welcomed you Joe, as I've been kind of in-and-out for the past few years, but welcome! I hope you continue to enjoy it here Smile

Back in my day... all of the forums on the internet were just like this one!... No, wait a minute, come to think of it, there WERE no forums back in my day... but if there would have been... they would be like this one! grinsmiley

I agree Joe, everyone is normal on this site. Some people on other sites have no filter or class.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes and MattLab, you're right. I have chosen to be more restrained her in opinions and differing views here. Other sites where (most) anything goes are ok sometimes but other times you just want to chill out and enjoy some peace and relative quiet.
