Family Friend

Please pray for a family friend's son. His name is Nathan, and he went to school with my oldest son, BJ. He is 25 years old and has just been diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. He has started Chemo and so far, it is working. He is married just 2 years or so, and his wife is terrible scared. Thank you all in advance.

He is in my prayers, Rhonda.

Hey Rhonda how is Nathan doing? i have been thinking of him a lot lately since my brother had the same sickness.

I'll pray for Nathan..As Jacob said, when you has a case in your own family, you understands a lot how the affected persons are suffering. My own grandpa died last year, in March from this same disease. But it was the acute form of it and it hadn't be diagnosed until he lost conscience and died after 15 days of agony. My only joy is that he never know what illness he had and that he was diying...

But I know that Nathan would survive to this. I'll pray for him.

My grandpa went the same way Vanesa. This was in 1960. He was diagnosed on May 1st and passed away Aug. 1st. He never knew what he had. He was only 42 . I never got to meet him, but I think alot of his traits got passed down to alot of his grandkids.
Leukemia is brutal, but maybe someday they will find a cure.

Dear Gin: I'm sorry about your grandpa. He must be still young when he died at the 1960's. Mine was very old, he was 88 and never had any serious heatlh problem before. Doctors explained us that it's pretty common that elder people could dead of this kind of brutal leukemia. He was diagnosed only when ha had no more coscience, so he never knew.

I'm quite amazed that science could not yet find any cure to leukemia or cancer, when it did so greats progress in other illness research and cure. I always pray for scientist would fins something soon.

An update on Nathan......Just received an email that the Neurologist initial exam concludes that there is a blood flow problem in the spine "very serious- no treatment" ...consulting with doctor........He has been taken from the Springfield, MO hospital to a Saint Louis, MO hospital.......please pray for Nathan, he has had such problems.....and was doing so well.

That's such sad news, Rhonda. I'm really sorry to hear that.

I am so sorry to hear that what is gonna Happen then if there is no Treatment? I have thought a lot about him ever since you Ask for Prayers a while back I will Keep him in my Prayers
