Sticking Close

Hi everyone,

I might be on here more often because I am taking a break from Facebook.....that is my own choice----to avoid Brandon. I just told him I like him and I can't bear to see him on FB. So.......Haha. I'll just lounge around with all you!

THank you so much Miss Lisa. I have done this so many times before and I am just shielding myself from rejection. He wanted to know what was the matter and I couldn't lie. Pray he shares the same feelings for me....that would be the first time anyone has.....I can't bear embarrassment....

Try not to worry, sweetie. I know from experience that that's hard, but worry never changes anything. It only steals your joy, and adds to your burden. Brandon may not know quite what to say even if he does share the same feelings. It's obvious that the two of you have a good relationship with one another. I noticed that myself on your Facebook page. It may be that he's just trying to figure things out yet himself. A beautiful girl (you) just told him that she likes him - He's probably scared out of his wits. Give him a little time.

And now I'm officially heading off to bed - where I started to go a half-hour ago! Try to get some sleep, Julia. Tomorrow's another day.

I couldn't sleep everyone... Nervous about my dentist appointment tomorrow.

I told my Mom about what I did and she agrees. If it is meant to be, it is meant to be---if not.....well, that's the way the ball bounces and I will take it in stride! There are more fish in that nice lovely big sea! I don't need to fret or worry, I have enough on my mind already! I am just going to pray about it!

Oh Julia, I'm sorry he didn't say more!! But hey---at least if nothing else, you didn't scare him off! Some guys would have run for the hills!

There's really no way of knowing I guess...(unless one of the guys here on the board might like to give a male perspective? )....but I don't think you can really 'tell' by what he said if he likes you or not. He obviously likes you a lot as a friend....but he might not have the maturity yet to come right out and say "I like you too." So, who knows?! Sorry I'm not much help!

That's all okay! He did ask me how long I have liked him. I said I really didn't know. Maybe a month or two. I did NOT want to fall for him or admit it. I don't know why. But I always try to avoid liking someone. Sure was that way with Arjay! Haha! Anyway, he said I hid it verrrrry well. He would have never guessed! He said he had no idea that that was coming, but he sure didn't seem to discourage me at all. So.....

Sometimes guys feel a lot more than they let on. They hesitate to reveal too much about what's going on inside, either because they're afraid, or they don't think it's cool, or... they're just not sure what is going on inside. Keep the faith, Julia.

Well, unfortunately, that's just not how love (or like ) works. It'll generally pop up and bite you when you least expect it.

Thanks Rob, I knew you'd come through.

I feel like it is strained though since telling him. We don't even write as much. But---he didn't say anything either way, discouraging or not. So...

I'm sorry Julia....I know this is tough. But it's natural that it might be a little awkward, for a little while anyway. I'm sure he'll come around, in time.

If I were you, I'd just keep on writing to him like you did before. He knows how you feel, so you don't have to mention anything about that. Just let him know that you still think of him as a good friend. The fact that you like him doesn't have to change that... and it doesn't have to make things awkward. You both seem to have a good sense of humor, so maybe you'll be laughing about it in no time at all... which will bring you even closer.

True! We are actually talking about it right now. What I was meaning about him not saying much about it was that if he sure didn't discourage me. He left it as is. That could mean something.....good. Seems like if he wanted met to stop, he would say it.

He has had interest in this girl that is a cheerleader at his school. She is Puerto Rican. He normally doesn't go after that. But everyone tells him they don't think she is right for him. It's not because of her race either. They are not dating right now. He once kinda of dropped her because she was being so demanding. I told him that we have a saying around here, "If it's not quite, it's not right." He wrote me back saying, "It's not quite...." DUH! BRANDON DOUGLAS POAGUE! God is telling you Neely isn't for you and whether it's me or another girl that's for you, it certainly isn't Neely. He doesn't feel a peace---neither do I. I have made it clear that I am not trying to get him to drop Neely for me, just so he can have peace. He had been acting so weird after my birthday party. Confused, upset, aloof, pulled in, etc. EVER since I told him that I had feelings for him---he's back to the old Brandon...My darling Waldo... Hehe...that's what I call him...he calls me Wonder Woman.
