I am the Collections Manager at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove, MN! We have an eight building museum complex right off of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Hwy 14 in Southwestern Minnesota. Just down the road from Sleepy Eye & Mankato (no really all those towns do exist).
My job includes putting together exhibits in the museum, research on LIW & her families and of course preserving the history of the famous "Little House on the Prairie".
This year we are doing a new exhibit in our TV Memoribillia room. A mural representing the TV series' Main Street fictional Walnut Grove.
The museum opens for the season 4/1/2011. Check out our website www.walnutgrove.org for more information on area attractions, the outdoor Wilder Pageant play and of course Walnut Grove.
I am always looking for more tidbits and TV stories to include in the exhibits. I have been a fan of the TV series since I can remember and always like to know what others TV fans would like to see on exhibit.
The museum also has the TV mantle on exhibit (the mantle Pa would lean against and light his pipe in the evenings)!
If you have suggestions or images from the TV series you would like to share with the museum please EMAIL me!
I have been working with the museum 10 years now!
Thank you, Nicole

Yes, Thank-you Nicole for your interests in our input. I have not made it up there to see that part of the homesites but hope to in the future. ANYTHING from the set of LH would be my pick to see. Props or just reading facts about the show, how scenes were put together.....whatever. I'm easy to please. lol

Savannah and I could probably supply you with drawings of scenes if begged...ha! I've done a few.

Miss Nicole, that sounds like a wonderful place for a LHOTP convention/reunion/forum hook-up.

I wish I could get there to see the exhibition...I'm a great Laura Ingalls Wilder fan, but I live in Argentina and Walnut Grove it's too far away for me.

Good luck, anyway, Nicole! Thumbsup
Vanesa.
