| THis is not "Little House on the Prairie", but "Laura", a Laura Ingalls Wilder biographie written by Donald Zochert. I worth t read it and has a lot of information about the Ingallses, before and after Laura's childhood. The covers bothers me a little, not for Ma's and Pa's youngness since they WERE indeed young. But they didn't look as historical Charles and Caroline. It seems that the writers took the design directly from TV show. Mary looks exactly like Melissa Sue Anderson in the first seasons, and Laura...well, is a little too much similar to Missy Francis playing Cassandra! The hilarous think is that the man who is supposed to be Charles doesn't look similar to Michael Landon...but to Stan Ivar! Caroline has something of Pamela Roylance...It's an odd cover, for sure. Do you know that I never noticed that until you said something? I think I'm so in tune to LHOP that when I bought it and read it, their appearance never clicked. Whoops! |

| This is an amazing book for those who really want to know more about the real Laura and many other generations of the Ingalls family. I have read it twice. Very good read.
I ordered this book a few years ago and then found the hard cover on ebay. I then gifted my soft cover to Lorrie. I wonder if she has read it yet?? |

Yes, Cheryl. It's an history book, but as entertaining as a fiction one. Well, in fact I'm one of those who thinks that reale life uses to be much more interesting that fiction.
