I used to think about it. To be honest I love America, but I wouldn't mind visiting Italy & France.

Visit? All the world if possible, but living, only in one part. My very spcial Argentina. When I was younger I wished to have a sophisticated life in Paris, France, and be similar to some of the characters of French Revolution. I'm romantic, love justice and beauty. I believed that all this was in France, and that Paris was a perfect city laugh3

. All was O.K there.

When I matured, I understood that no country, no city was perfect, and that what I had admired was back then, not now. greenS

I always loved Argentina, but when younger I thought she had a lof of faults (a little like Walnut Grove citizens in the episode "Centenary") that other countries didn't have. Now, I realizes my mistake. All countries have faults. But we love our country like we loves our own mother. Just like she is!

I'd move to Australia in a heartbeat. I've paid this country what I owe and then some. I figure I earned it.

Plus, I got a lot of buddies there who'd help me get started.

My Portuguese teacher was from Brazil. She was so home sick... I enjoyed all the stories she would tell us from Rio de Janeiro and I imagined myself there one day.

I saw some movies that were done in Italy and fell in love with the place, the language, the food. I tried learning Italian but I never kept practicing. I would like to go there someday though.

I've been to the States so often in the past 6 years that I'm thinking that I might as well just stay there. It's funny, when I do visit the States, I always think, "I'm an alien!!" lol. But I am a true Canadian, no other land will be home.

Wow, Carol!...I love your selection! Yes; If I could live in all those countries only for a year, I would! They are all great places to know. Japan and Spain are two of my favorites.

I'm also very interested in Africa gastronomy, so I wish I could go to Kenya and Tanzanya, Nigeria, Chad. South Africa, Mozambique and Madagascar...Nice food there! Cloud 9

I really believe it is true that any country - and I mean ANY country - has good things and has bad things in it.

I think it is great to love one's own country and be patriotic, but not to be arrogant about it and think that your country is the only good country in the world or that your country is the only one that functions well, etc. If you love your country, instead of feeling arrogance, you should just feel blessed to be living there. And recognize that others in the world feel the same way about their countries.

I loved US when we were on vacation last year, especially the Californian climate. I also found it more family-oriented than here in Britain and have said for many years that the only two things keeping me here are my mum and finances - or lack of them!!! cryB

I'm happy living in California... really, you can meet just about anyone from the world in this state. I wish I was rich so that I could REALLY enjoy the entire California state and its attractions.
