That was a funny show. My favorite line was the time the Girls were going to meet the president. A secret service agent was doing a background check on them, and he asked Rose (Betty White), "Do you advocate the overthrow of the U.S. government by force or violence?" She thought about it, then said, "Violence."

She thought it was a multiple choice question. Laughing

I love the Golden Girls and if anyone could have a blonde moment, it was Betty White's character, Rose. The innocent look on her face after she said something so dumb and stupid......thinking she had said the most intelligent thing.... ROTFL

I love Betty White, just like Rhonda said, she really thought she knew what she was saying, but she had no idea what others were saying. ROTFL She's also an animal lover. Oh I just love her!!!

I'll be darned! I knew Estelle wasn't as old as the character she played, but I didn't realize she was younger than Bea!

Ohhhh Estelle and I have the same birthday! :woohooo: Not the same year of course.

I was surprised too when I first found out Estelle is younger than Bea. As far as I know Estelle still lives in Bayside, about 30 minutes from me, one of my friends lives not far from her said that she's also suffering Alzheimer's pretty bad these days.

TV ages can be misleading. John Mahoney, who played the dad on Frasier, was only 13 years older than his "son" Kelsey Grammer.

And as a M*A*S*H fan, this really surprised me. Gary Burghoff, who played the perenially-teenaged Radar, was actually two years older than David Ogden Stiers, who played the snooty, middle-aged Charles Emerson Winchester. OhMy
