I'm so excited!! I just got home from Ionia ArtPrize, and I won third place for my John Wayne portrait!! Thanks for helping me pick which piece to enter, everyone! *squeal!*

Thank you! I'm not quite sure what you mean by professional judged contest. Sorry...I think it's the heat melting my brain. .... It was a county-wide contest open to anyone who wanted to enter, and was judged by an art professor. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks again, everyone! I'm still so thrilled! I can't wait to get it home. It's on display downtown right now, and then it'll be in the fair....so it'll be a while before it comes home. But it's just so exciting for me! When I was logging in the drawings at the fair, a woman came up to me and said, "Oh, I just love your work! I've seen it before and I'm just amazed by you!" It was someone I'd never met before, so it was a total surprise to me that she was able to recognize me in connection with my drawings.

Oh wow, that had to have been so special Savannah! I already know why people would recognize you based on your beautiful spirit, but it has to really warm your heart to know that people are noticing/recognizing you based on your art-work! What an honor!
