Our ancestors settled off the boat from Germany in Kitchener, Ontario. My sister is going to get my dad a membership to Ancestry.com for Christmas....my dad has already done a lot of research, but it would be nice to have this at his fingertips. Glad you guys got some use out of this yesterday! Thumbsup

That is such a cool gift idea Amy! ALot of people are researching family now.
I was a Yaerger....from Germany. It was originally spelled Yoger, then got changed. My great grandfather was Christian Yoger, and I have found his grave in amoung other family. He just happend to be in the same cemetary my grandparents are buried. We didn't know that for a long while. So now we put flowers on his grave too.

See Rob, thats why I can't spell anything. Papa Christian messed me up.

It is the lack of Christianity that has  brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts.  LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart

LOL Amy. I had to laugh after reading your quote. There is no way that your family could have gotten off a boat IN Kitchener, ON. It's land locked. There is no water anywhere near there. But I know what you mean. Kitchener is a wonderful place, I went to bible college there and my brother lives there now. It is about an our and a half from here.
When did they arrive? It would be fun to help you research them, if you like. Do you have any family still here?
