The Sea Pig Teacher-emoticon-black-board

This surreal piece of living art is called a scotoplane or "sea pig". Scotoplanes live on deep ocean bottoms, specifically on the abyssal plain in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean, typically at depths of over 1000 meters. Scotoplanes are deposit feeders and obtain food by extracting organic particles from deep-sea mud.

Didn't know this "thing" ever existed...I wish the scotoplanes would be pigs for real...because if we could make a ham of every one of its legs...it should be fantastic! grinsmiley

Its funny the creatures we find that look so odd. God must have been bored after making all the other animals. Although, I'm sure they all have a use in nature.
