What a wonderful news! I do love snow...I wish I could be there just to see the snow floating in the air. wintergirl snowshovel

We are at the second month of the Spring here, but weather is quite cold yet. I like cold a lot, but I also like this good thing of having the Four seasons and I wish the atmosphere could get a little warmer...Besides, the quick changes between cold and warm weather gets me sick! sickcold

Savannah, if you would be so kind as to prevent any of that white stuff from coming my way as well, I would so very much appreciate it. In return, I will try to stop the heat from coming your way in the summer. greenS

Actually can someone give me their snow in exchange for our summer heat? Please?
It can get over 40deg Celsius down here in summer...

I'd much rather trade the snow for something more useful.....like....Dark chocolate Tim Tams. As a matter of fact, I'd rather just GIVE you the snow than have the heat in exchange.

Carol's area sees temperatures similar to yours during our summer, Alex.
We do here in Michigan on rare occasions - but thankfully it's pretty rare. The hottest we usually get is about 35-36 degrees Celsius, and with the humidity around here, that's way too hot for me.

Yes, I'll trade!!! I'd rather run through the sprinkler to cool off than put on layers and layers of clothes to stay warm.

Snow was forecast in our mountains last night and this morning and it is cold and mostly cloudy here now. We will have temperatures at or slightly below freezing at night this weekend.

Yep! Except this last summer we had an average of 33 degrees Celcius. We had I think one heat wave this past summer... not bad at all! Smile
I am actually starting to like the hot and dry summers of the valley. I'll miss relaxing in the hammock outside chatting with family or friends till it got dark out, while enjoying some fruit bought at farmers market. Going for a summer night ride to get some ice cream, feeling the cool air hitting your face. Hanging out at the drive-in, watching a movie under the stars.... *sigh*... The long days... the summer nights... I will miss you so, but I'll see you again soon lol. I will think of these moments when my feet and hands are cold in the winter lol

That is correct. Each season lasts about 3 months and if I were to choose which one I need to do to feel comfortable during that time ... running through the sprinkler is a lot less work and more fun lol. I do like some winter activity. I like being able to go to the mountains and experience snow for a little while but I'm glad it all stays up there heehee

That would be a perfect situation, just to be able to "visit" the snow, rather than have to deal with it all the time. Laughing

But for me, running through the sprinkler makes me slightly cooler for a moment - but two minutes later I'm hot again - AND wet and sticky. I'd much rather put on a soft, cozy sweater, and be warmed up for a good length of time without having to get wet to do so. And I'd hate to have to drive to get to my supply of snow. But I think the set-up is perfect for you, Carol - because that's what you love. And mine is perfect for me, because that's what I love. . . . Now. . . . As for you, Pam.....Maybe we could mail you to visit Carol for the duration of the winter.

... BUT.... to be fair... Snow does make things look beautiful and magical. Maybe if I lived in a town from one of the Thomas Kinkade paintings were life doesn't seem so fast and everyone is enjoying themselves... lol

I know that's supposed to look awful - but I LOVE it! I'd much rather have that than this:

BUT, there are parts of summer that I love. I love the picnics, the longer hours of daylight, seeing my neighbors as they take a walk in the evening......... It isn't that I hate summer......I hate the scorching heat and humidity. I like a lot about summer - I just love winter, too.

Okay!! grinsmiley

I do have to confess, although there isn't much I like about winter, I do rather enjoy your enthusiasm for it. Reading about your excitement over snow always makes me smile. If I could just figure out a way to box mine up and send it to you, we'd both be so happy! HeeHee

There were a few snow flakes yesterday and there were also a few flakes a week ago. I missed them both so I haven't seen any snow yet. :/

I just awoke to a winter wonderland. It's our first snowfall of the year here in Minneapolis. I'm glad that we finally had such a nice long Fall. We have about 3 inches out there, and it's still snowing.

Even as a kid I remember looking at the national weather map and knowing that whatever was happening in Minnesota and Wisconsin would be happening to us within a day or two.

We have at least 6 inches here now. I don't like getting this much snow all at once. A couple at a time is fine. It's the really HEAVY snow, too. Good for snowmen, bad for shoveling.

I know it is snowing up north today. We were supposed to get some light snow during the middle of the week, but it looks like it isn't going to happen now. I am hoping it holds off for a little while. My shoulder has been bothering me lately (so have my ribs) and I would like to get that feeling right again before I need to work it with the shoveling.

Wet, heavy snow is the WORST!!! Especially when you get plowed in! Ranting I really don't mind the fluffy stuff at all. That is also the prettiest. It seems to sparkle the most (I am basing the look of it from the view outside the window when the street light shines on it Smile ).
