Internet Dating!!

What do you think about it? Would you ever do it?

I don't think i would,it's not my thing...I don't think u can fall in love with a guy over the pc when u have not meet them yet...I just rather just have the real thing.

I did once fell for this guy when i was 19..I thought he really liked me...but i was wrong he told all my friends the same lines he usued on me..I still at time can't belive i fall for it..But i learned my lesson now!

I would and have. If your careful it's Ok. I met my recent boyfriend through internet dating and he is wonderful and the love of my life we have been together 6 years today.

I met my current boyriend on the internet. We exchanged e-mails for about a month and a half before we met. We've been dating for almost 8 months...and it has worked out well.

Actually, I used to babysit for a couple who met over the internet...she lived in Arizona and moved here to be with him!! Of course, over quite a long time of chatting and meeting. They now have 3 beautiful daughters and have been married for almost 10 years! So it can work.

I have heard of instances though where people think that they've found 'their match', and then they meet in person and find there's no physical chemisty. You just can't force chemistry! And there's that little matter of meeting your 'perfect opposite', you know? People tend to look for those who share common interests or are like themselves, when in 'real life' it's generally opposites that attract. Lord knows dahubby & I are polar opposites...he can drive me crazy...but the chemistry and passion are still there after 17 years of marriage! (Sorry if TMI! )

You can get to know a person in person first, and decide that you can't stand him/her! LOL! Over the net, many people are more open to discussing personal issues because they can't see or hear the person's physical reaction. I've made a lot of friends (mostly female) by way of the net, but I've met a few really nice guys too. I've even done my share of flirting with them and got some flirting from them. One guy lives in Ireland and he's so sweet. We have a lot in common too and don't mind talking about life's issues. We vent to each other when needed and we try to offer good advice to one another.

I honestly believe that two people can talk by email, message boards, etc. and find a great and loving companion for themselves. A friend of mine has a brother-in-law who met his girlfriend at eharmony.com The last I heard, they were doing great together.
