Your Pet Peeves -- Vent here

What are some of you pet peeves? What drives you up the wall?



One of mine is: People talking on cell phones while driving

People who park their grocery carts in the middle of the aisle at the market and stand there forever despite the fact that they can see that you need to get by them.

UGH I hate that!

People that drive 45-55 mph in a clearly marked 70 mph!

Oh! People who double park side by side on the road having a conversation while you are waiting for them to finish so you can go through!

LOL Christina, I've had the same thing happen.

I mean, really...everyone suddenly needs Oregano at the exact same time as I do!

Oh and another thing that drives me nuts at the grocery store...when there's like 2000 shoppers and only 1 or 2 checkers working!!!

Mine are people who don't use their turn signal when they turn or turn the oposite way that their turn signal is blinking, or have their turn signal own but go straight instead of turning

I'm with cinlynn on the turn signal thing. Makes me crazy when people don't use em.

Another peeve is unfriendly people who just stare at you when you say hi to them.

I hate it when the checker is taking her sweet old time checking out people. I get so mad. Talk on your own time. :bash:

What about when someone turns onto the road ahead of you when you aren't but a couple of car lengths from them? That really irritates me!

I hate it when the checker at the check out stand stands there and flirts with the guy sacking the groceries while ringing up your sales and overcharges u on something like two or three times. Or someone that goes in the expresslane with a basket full of groceries ahead of u when your in a hurry that really makes me get steamed ARGGGH!!!!

Okay, in reply to all these negative "checker" comments. I've been a cashier at our Wal-Mart for two years, so I'll give you my pet peeves with dealing with the public.

Quit talking on your cell phones while I'm doing your order for you, it is beyond rude and of course when something rings up wrong, I'm the first person you complain to about the price being wrong. If you would stay off of your phone and pay attention, you might have notice the wrong price and called it to my attention.

People who don't hand you their money, they set it down and have you pick it up. If I were to do the same back to them, they would think I was rude.

BTW, I have to bag my own stuff so I don't get the pleasure of flirting with any baggers (ha ha).....

Slow cashier's are annoying but fortunately I'm not one of them!!

A lot of mine have already been mentioned. I also have grocery store and driving peeves. I like to do my grocery shopping early on Saturday mornings. Usually, that works great, but there's usually only one lane open at that time and sometimes I'll get stuck behind somebody with 952 billion items. Oh well, that's the disadvantage to going early. As for driving peeves, I could go on all day, but I'll just mention a few -- tailgating, pulling out and going under the speed limit, cutting into a gap that's not big enough, slow merging, passing me while going 1 mph faster than I'm going, and hanging around in my blind spot. Here's another one -- entering an elevator before I have a chance to exit. This one is particularly bad as I often eat my lunch at my desk and carry it up from the cafeteria to my cubicle which is on a different floor. One of these days, somebody is going to bump into me and get my lunch dumped all over them.

Another driving peeve is when someone behind me stomps on their gas to pass me, then as soon as they get in front of me, they make a turn off onto another road. Why knock yourself out trying to pass someone when you're just gonna turn?

I have many but the one I can't stand the most is people block my driveway. I have a fire hydrant right next to my driveway, they all seem to not wanting to block the hyrant but will block my driveway!!!

! When people don't take "NO" for an answer I just hate how people try and fource u to do something you wish not to do..

! I can't it when i'am on the phone, and my mother stays inthe room and listens in..or asks me what me and her was talking about..

another one I have and for any of you who have children especially teenagers it's when u get paid and get home after cashing or depositing your paycheck in the bank the first thing they ask for is money it's not hi mom or dad or how was your day. It's can I have 20 or 30 bucks. I think these kids these days have a built in radar when it comes to when their parents get paid. My 17 year old is the worse for wanting money all the time

Oooh, that happened to me just last week! Aarrrgghh! And get this... both women looked me straight in the face (one looking over her shoulder) and kept talking. I finally said - "Excuse me, please! But I'd like to get!" The slooowly moved out of my way.
