I have an old "Little House on the Prairie" with 1932 copyright for text by LIW and 1953 copyright for pictures by Garth Williams....it's an old hardback that my Aunt had, came from the library here in town....needless to say, it is not in as good of shape as the one you showed... Huh?

What a find! 1937!! Something looks familiar to me about the cover....almost like I've seen it before. ODD! I always look through the books at Antique stores in hope of finding something like this. I've found a few of the Walton books based on the tv series. Only paid $9 for them.

How neat. I think I have the second book floating around here somewhere, but I don't think I've ever seen the first book.

Jacob & Gin, I am constantly on the prowl at antique stores and thrift shops for LH books. I've found a few, but nothing of any value really. I just saw the whole vintage set in paperback yesterday, but I already have some singles so it's kind of silly to but the set.

What I would really love is a nicely done hardcover boxed set. I could have sworn that I saw a hardcover boxed set a long time ago at Barnes and Noble, but now I'm beginning to think I was imagining it. Whistle Wouldn't it be nice if they did some beautifully bound books, in a boxed set, like the American Girl doll series...something like that style? It just surprises me that there's nothing out there. scratchead

Wow Rhonda, that sounds like quite the book you have, good condition or not! Thumbsup

And Cheryl, I've never seen that book either....I'd love to own it, but I can't quite imagine dishing out $75 for it! Yikes

I've posted this picture before so that's maybe where you've seen it before Gin. I bought these books from ebay from one seller. I bought 2 and then asked her to find the rest of them for me. They did cost more than I'd usually pay for books but that's what this addict had to do, lol.
