Thanks Rob...I didn't realize it was that time again! I didn't watch last season, but I may turn in this time. My best friend's niece's best friend (you got that?) made it into the top 24! So it might be neat to follow and see how she does.

Oh, and I had no idea it was starting tonight either. I was just shuffling through the programming grid, and OOPS! It's Idol!

I knew but I hate the tryouts. Steve Tyler is getting married...have you heard???!!! She's 38! I thought Clay robbed the cradle!

I think maybe I'm getting burned out on it; I thought 2 hours was wayyy too long!

Tonight the first ever Pittsburgh auditions are on! I hope that someone from here makes it far!

I might watch tonight. I have church on Wednesday nights and I tape Revenge. I LOVE that show.

Darn it all!!! She auditioned in Nashville, last night's show! I guess she was on for a very short clip and they showed a brief montage of her with two other girls. I guess her parents moved her to Nashville and got her an agent, so I am thinking she does sing country, Jacob!

What's the deal with ALL good singers tonight?! I was pleasantly surprised! Has AI been doing this for awhile? I thought all the shows in the first several weeks were filled with the horrible singers. I am FINE with that, believe me!

Wow, I LOVE that "Ebin" kid! How can he not go far?! I hope he makes it all the way! And I thought the blonde at the end was really good...she has an edge about her and just has that 'look' too, I think.

Hmm, I may have to watch this season just to see how far that kid goes (15)...I seriously had chills and was sorry his audition song was so short!

And there were some that certainly weren't spectacular, but no one (that I saw) was downright awful, like we're used to seeing in the first several weeks. Maybe the Wednesday shows will be the stinkers and the Thursday shows will be the better ones?

I think the African guy was on the Wednesday show.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of truly awful singers last night. I hope it's a trend. It's kind of fun to watch bad singers who think they're good, but all too often it seems that the bad audtioners are being lousy on purpose, and are just out to get their two minutes on national TV.
