To each their own, I guess. I once entered a photography contest and I ended up having that same feeling when they announced the winner.

Your piece was lovely, Savannah.

Exactly. I was thinking..." What is that?" scratchead I'm sorry you didn't win, Savannah, but glad that the ACS raised a large amount of money. Your drawing was excellent. Smile

Wow, I haven't even seen Star Wars, but that's the first thing I thought of when I saw it! Come to think of it, my brothers played a Star Wars video game and those thingy-majiggers were in that.

That stinks that that's what won! Judging is such a fickle thing! It's too bad that they don't separate into categories.

You didn't win Savannah, but you deserved to win. Just think your art is good. No winning or loossing contest will make it bad. Smiley Hug Thumbsup

Vanesa.

Wow, I totally see how that one. If I were 7, which apparently was the age of the judges (or voters).

Sorry, you didn't won Savannah. The winning thing wasn't art. Looks like they put legos together & painted pink. I notices it was Star Wars. Your painting was marvelous. Should been first prize. I don't know, where they get these judges from. Their blind.

I'm not even sure what the pink thing is. scratchead

But, your picture is amazing and beautiful, and, as you mentioned, a lot of money was raised for the American Cancer Society. That is a definite win. Thumbsup
