May health Update

Please remember my mom, Irene, in your prayers. She is having cataract surgery tomorrow morning on her right eye. I know that it is a simple procedure but still there is fear of the unknown. I will be going with her to hear dr's orders for the next few days. Pray that I will ask the right questions and understand his directions.

Also, I will be having my ultrasound for more cysts on Wed. This is becoming a normal event now. I am praying that they do find another cyst and that perhaps I can get a referral to a surgeon to take out the ovary. 4 years is long enough. I'm tired.

You'll both me in my prayers, Marilyn. Luckily, cataract surgery isn't as bad as it used to be. And you, my friend, have definitely suffered long enough. Let's get that ovary out of there and get you back to feeling better.

I'm praying for your mom, Marilyn. But don't worry. As our friend said above, nowadays cataracts surgery is not serious at all. Some three weeks ago, my nest friend mom had cataract surgery. It took some minutes in the morning, and at noon , she was already home.

Thanks everyone. Mom's surgery went well and she was home before 9:30am. We spent part of the morning playing one of our favourite games. During the game she took off her glasses and said that she couln't see anything out of the eye, was blurry but the nurse this morning said that would be normal. I guess she is doing well. She goes back to see the dr tomorrow morning.
My turn next. Please pray that they find something for me that needs removing.

It was quite similar to the case I've told you...I'm glad the surgery went O.K. There are some cases in which the sight keeps blurry for some hours or even a day.

Gin, my mom has retired from playing hockey. She was the oldest known player on a league team at age 82. She missed it.

Thanks for your prayers everyone. Mom had a visit to the dr today and he said that everything is looking normal. She still has blurry vision but that will improove. She got back into the driver's seat this afternoon and went out to pick up our neighbour from school so she really is coming along. We appreciate each of you for your prayers and concerns.

I'll update you tomorrow after I have my ultrasound.

I'll keep praying, Marylin, for you and for your mom. One of my great aunties suffered the same surgery than your mother and she lasted some two days or so on to have normal vision. It happens. It's quite normal.

Mom is seeing really well today, she can see as well without glasses as she does with them. She will likely be able to get new ones for reading only. God is good.
My ultrasound went well & I will get results early next week. Please pray that a cyst shows up so I can move toward possible surgery and better health.

I know you are wanting relief above all else. Hopefully the doctor will see you need that and try to do something for you. Let us know...

I'm really glad for your mother sight! These are really, but really good news! NOw, I'll keep praying for you and your close surgery. Hope this cyst could be removed as soon as possible.

Sorry that I didn't reply sooner. My mother had a visit to her surgeon yesterday and he is very happy with her progress. She is seeing better and better each day, such a blessing. She has been scheduled to have the left eye done at the end of Feb.
I did not accompany mom to the dr this time, I unfortunately was across the street in the ER at the time of her appointment. I started having pains in my side on Monday, had severe pains Tuesday night and went directly to the hospital after work on Wed. I was given pain killers which took away the pain. I told the drs of my cysts but they only took a blood test and a urine sample. After 7 hours they sent me home with a perscription. I called the dr's office today and they are going to start working on a referral to a gynecologist.
I missed work today and will miss tomorrow too. The pain meds are doing a wonderful job but make me extreemly tired and very dizzy. I am to call the dr back tonight before they close to give an update on my day.
Please continue to pray for me. I desperately need to feel better. The Lord is good ahd He is with me.

Why did they sent you to a gynecologust? You are already diagnosed with a cyst... I'll pray for you could get well in no time. Being ill is so desperating...
I'm happy that your other is doing well. Hope she could have surgery in her left eye in february.
