Hatfields & McCoys

Is anybody here watching the Hatfields & McCoys miniseries on History Channel? I've been watching it and find it quite interesting. I've found it both informative and entertaining. I'm always interested in anything to do with history, and I grew up not all that far away from where the feud took place. It's a miniseries rather than a documentary, so some historical facts were changed and dramatized, but I believe it does follow history pretty closely. There is a lot of violence and strong language, so it's definitely not a family show.

I have been hearing about the great ratings and reviews it has been getting, but I don't get the History Channel, so I'm not watching.....maybe when it comes out on DVD.... yes

I have the channel but didn't get a chance to see part 1 and didn't want to watch part 2 & part 3 out of order. So when I see it will be back on (Part 1) I think I'll DVR it. Is it supposed to be factual or just a story of fiction?

Misti, it's mostly factual. A few details have been changed to suit a dramatic miniseries, though. There's also a companion documentary that will air Saturday at 4pm EDT, followed by a repeat of the six-hour miniseries.

I don't have the History channel either, but my friend was watching it the other night. Claimed it was pretty good.
