WOW. thud This is just amazing, PD!! Applause I love your synopsis as well as all the pictures! Thank you SO much for taking the time! This is almost as good as being there. Almost. Wink I haven't had a chance to look through your other pics that I pm'd you about....soon though! You have done a great job taking us on the 'tour'!

I am betting our very own Marilyn was in that entry log you were looking through...she is from a Canadian province. Thumbsup And my goodness, that IS very trusting indeed, to leave a lot of money out like that?! thud Surely they never have watched the episode of Dr. Quinn where the 'bad guy' runs off with the church donations! HeeHee (Oh, and the LH episode too, where Johnny Cash tries to take the money from the church! OhMy ).

Oh, and I LOVE that they give each child a hat or bonnet that comes to visit the schoolhouse! That's a very nice touch. yes

And I love the stagecoach. Love

You and Floyd make a great team! Thanks for giving us a peek!

You're all very welcome! Writing isn't my favorite to do so it's nice being able to take photos to illustrate what I'm talking about!

Amy: Oh, and the LH episode too, where Johnny Cash tries to take the money from the church!
I know! It made me wish I had a spare VHS with the Johnny Cash episode to leave near the offering plate!

At Walnut Grove I saw a woman who looked a lot like Marilyn, but I kept going, "No, it can't be her. She was here the week before me."

Thanks for those great pictures! I loved them, and I wish I could travel to the USA's to see all this with my own eyes. Smile

Vanesa.

I loved your pictures! I LOVE the one of the wheat!

It is too bad that you didn't get to go into the Hotel in Burr Oak. But isn't Burr Oak an interesting little town? Doesn't it really feel like you just stepped back in time? I loved going there.

Is that gigantic photo of Carrie (or was it Grace) still in that first room when you go upstairs in the home in De Smet? That thing freaked me out. It was so unexpected.

I'm not a huge fan of guided tours... mainly because that means being with a group of people (which is okay, but they get in the way of photos ;))
Oh, I feel the exact same way. I go crazy sometimes waiting for people to just get out of the way. And sometimes I think some people know what you are waiting for and they deliberately take their time while they are in your way. That is what I think, at least. Smile
