I'm reading this book now, and I'm really enjoying it. I like learning about what Caroline's life when she was a young girl because sometimes I can make connections between young Caroline and young Laura. I really liked the part when Caroline's grandparents from Boston sent a trunk full of Christmas presents for the Quiner family!

I've read this series. Definitely winners in my book. I like how the author tried to stay true to the style of the original Little House series, even though she definitely gave it her own voice.

The Caroline series are one of my favorites. Its been awhile since I've read them...might need to start up again.

I like the Caroline series, too. It's been awhile since I read them (and I think I missed a book - "On Top of Concord Hill" I think was the one), but I really enjoyed reading about Caroline's growing up.

I have visited Concord, WI and saw the land where the Ingalls and Quiners lived. My friend Beth Ingalls and I went into the Memorial Society and enjoyed seeing records that this is where they lived.

I would like to read those books too. Problem is, I probaly won't find them in europe...and it's much too expensive to buy them through shipping.

I have exactly your problem, Cteacea...I used to buy those books ( Martha, Charlotte, Caroline and Rose's Years) when our money had no devaluated. There were cheap for my pocket, so I almost completed all "Caroline's Years". I only lack for two of them, the last ones....*sigh*. After this, our money devaluated and it was to cheap expensive to order them by shipping mail. It was a pity, since they had many insights about cultural issues from the end of the XVIII century (my very favorite historical era!) to the 1910's ...

I enoyed a lot "Martha's years" (even if I don't had the last two, either), for they taught me a lot about Scotland at the last years of XVIII Century, but my favorite ones and the more wonderfully written of them, are "Caroline's Years". I DO like how the author shows our "Little Brownbraid"
