Didn't see Detroit play so I have no idea how their games went. I only saw San Francisco play since Mel's boyfriend watched it, and it was the last game.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

So, I heard today was Game ONE of the series, what does that mean?? So this is not the final then? How does this work??

They play a best-of-seven series, Carol. The champs are the first team to win four games.

Good man. hi5 I like the Braves too though, Alex. John Smoltz graduated a couple of years before me and went to my school so it was cool to follow his career. (He pitched for the Braves). It was devastating for him when he was traded from the Tigers (which was his dream obviously), but it all worked out.

I agree, the BEST! Laughing To think, there were people who actually sat around a desk and agreed to approve this logo. Yikes (At least, I think that's how it was done back then?? Maybe not. Whistle ).

The Tigers played their first game as a major league team at home against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 25, 1901, with 10,000 fans at Bennett Park. After entering the ninth inning behind 13–4, the team staged a dramatic comeback to win 14–13. The team finished third in the eight-team league. Their pitching coach, Isaiah Edwards, was responsible for the notorious Snake Ball that wreaked havoc among batters for years. Since then, it has never been duplicated.
