The upgrade was selling for around $40 here in Australia.

I haven't yet, but my brother, Aaron, just bought Windows 8 Professional. He's still tinkering with it, so he doesn't have a solid opinion of it just yet. I'll let you know what he thinks of it - he's my go-to guy when it comes to computers.

That'd be good if you let me know what he thinks...

I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 8! Smile
There was a sale and I got it for $40 dollars Thumbsup

I am still getting used to it but so far, I am liking it yes

Lisa, can you ask Aaron what screen resolution he is using?

I have a 20 inch screen and it is recommending that I use the highest resolution, but some things are smaller than I'd like them to be... on the plus side, I see the COMPLETE screen...

The banner on this forum looks very small now lol

Does anyone have it?
Since I upgraded to Windows 8, I then ran into the Microsoft Office 2013 (Office 365) and was asked if I wanted to preview it. I installed it but have not played with it very much.
I am still not sure how long the preview lasts or how much it costs! lol

Would that be just for windows 8? Cause my dad needs a new one for his pc but he still runs XP.

I have no idea how much it would coast.lol

I still think Windows8 is geared towards touchscreens more. As for now I am sticking with Windows 7...

Yes, you still do need a mouse. Windows 8 does come with the ability to use your fingers BUT you have to buy a touch screen that will let you do that. I can't on mine, so I just use the mouse for everything Thumbsup

I'm really liking Windows 8 Smile
